"This time last year. . . "

It seems I've said those four words more in the past six months than I'd like to admit. So in a change of perspective I've starting thinking "This time next year . . . " with some excitement. I'm looking forward to the wonderful adventures I've yet to have, instead of wasting my energy mourning the ones I've already completed.

As far as new adventures go: Have you ever tried to get a 2 year old to cooperate for any extended period of time? It's quite a challenge. Today was the first set of professional photos this kid's ever seen. This one is the more candid of the bunch; he's closing his eyes and telling me he's "Done, Auntie."

It is by far one of my favorites.
